Just Announced: Canon EF 85mm f/1.4L IS USM
A long-awaited lens for many, the Canon EF 85mm f/1.4L IS USM could be considered an update to the venerable 85mm f/1.2L; however, this new version trades in the f/1.2 maximum aperture for an updated optical design and image stabilization.
Despite the new version being 1/3 of a stop slower, its optical image stabilization system compensates for up to four stops of camera shake for more effective handheld use in low-light conditions.
It also features a ring-type Ultrasonic Motor for quick, quiet autofocus performance and full-time manual focus override to suit shallow-depth-of-field shooting.
