Nikon D3400 Launches for Entry-Level Photographers
If you’re not looking to spend thousands of dollars on a DSLR rig, maybe because you’re new or maybe you’re just looking for a backup camera, you might be interested in checking out Nikon’s latest offering.
The company has recently taken the wraps off the Nikon D3400, the company’s latest entry-level DSLR. According to Nikon, the D3400 will be priced starting at $650.00 which comes with the 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR kit lens.
The D3400 will also be available in a two-lens kit option, which includes the AF-P DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR and the AF-P DX NIKKOR 70-300mm f/4.5-6.3G ED which will set you back $1,000.00
What can photographers expect from the D3400? This camera will basically be the successor to the D3300 and will come with some improvements, such as its weight which will be lighter than its predecessor. It also packs a 24.2MP CMOS sensor without a low pass filter, and will have its images processed by Nikon’s EXPEED 4 engine.
The ISO tops at 25,600, which is more than enough for most users. Nikon is also boasting better battery performance and will be able to squeeze out up to 1,200 shots on a single charge. It will also be SnapBridge compatible, but unfortunately there is still no support for 4K video. For those interested, the D3400 will be available this coming September.
